Public invited to learn more about water, wastewater in Port Colborne

Two upcoming open houses are aiming to keep residents informed about water, wastewater, and stormwater management in Port Colborne.

The two drop-in style events will take place on Tuesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. in the Golden Puck Room at the Vale Health and Wellness Centre.

During the sessions, residents will be able to learn more about costs behind water and wastewater rates, as well as the actions the City is taking to address them.

King Street Lane closure between Kent Street and Victoria Street

The city will be performing the removal of a large tree on King Street between Kent Street and Victoria Street. This work is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lane closure and traffic control will be in place.

Public feedback needed for Port Colborne marina and boat launch dredging project

The City of Port Colborne is seeking the public’s input on potentially dredging sediment buildup at Sugarloaf Marina and the public boat launch area.

As one of the largest municipally owned and operated marinas in Ontario, the marina provides 700 dock slips for both seasonal and transient boaters. Its operations include the public boat ramp that provides access to Lake Erie.
